Fine dining in Fenwick Island? You betcha! 🙂
The last time we visited Mancini’s (August, 2012) we had a party of six – and can call it a “party” because we were celebrating two birthdays (all week). One of the birthday girls sent the following email describing our dinner and why she likes dining at Mancini’s while visiting at the beach.
“Mancini’s Italian Restaurant and Brick Oven Pizzeria on Fenwick Island is that rare combination of old world charm, attentive service, and excellent cuisine, which makes it a true gem in this mid-Atlantic resort area. Our party sampled a variety of its offerings, and all were excellent. We began our journey with a number of appetizers, to include the roasted garlic bulb; bruschetta covered with either marinated tomatoes and flaked crabmeat, sun-dried tomato pesto and roasted pepper, or marinated tomatoes with mozzarella; and heirloom tomatoes topped with mozzarella. All were wonderful.
Then we each selected a different entree: brick oven pizza; Linguini Con Scampi; Capellini Ai Frutti Di Mare; Capellini Con Pollo and Carciofi; and (Wayne’s pasta, not sure what it was*). Each was excellent. Salad and fresh baked bread were included with the meals, and the house wines were quite good. A wonderful meal in a delightful location.”
This writer agrees with the birthday girl’s observations and have always enjoyed dining at Mancini’s. We love the Italian Restaurant part of the name and really enjoy the Brick Oven Pizza part – and we seem to enjoy them in that order, hence we take liberty with their name. The actual name, as it appears on their website and on their sign, is Mancini’s Brick Oven Pizzeria & Restaurant.
*Wayne’s pasta dish was the Bolognese.
